The control arm’s construction is based on a steel tube and sheet components made from S355 structural steel, laser-cut with high precision and welded using a method that ensures maximum stiffness with minimal weight. The design was developed in a CAD environment, allowing the shape and mounting points to be matched with accuracy down to tenths of a millimeter. The reinforced construction allows the control arm to accommodate a lower shock mount and a socket for the lower ball joint. Adjustment via 40HMT steel turnbuckles and chrome-molybdenum uniball spherical bearings enables optimal suspension geometry tuning. The robust construction and precise geometry adjustment provide improved handling, stability at high speeds, and quicker steering response, while maintaining compatibility with the original body mounting points.
