Read moreIn the Mustang Gen 6, lack of power is not the issue – the key is how effectively the rear suspension can transfer it to the road. During hard launches, dynamic corner exits, or more aggressive driving, the factory rear axle components can start to work too softly, causing wheel hop, loss of stability, and less predictable vehicle behavior.
The Restomotive rear vertical link was designed as a stiffer and more precise replacement for the factory component. Its CNC-machined construction and Uniball spherical bearing system help stiffen the connection between the knuckle and the lower control arm, improving suspension response, rear axle stability, and more effective power transfer to the road. Elimination of Wheel Hop Handling Precision Lightweight and Heavy-Duty Construction
Wheel hop reduction: A stiffer connection between the knuckle and the lower control arm helps reduce rear axle hop during hard launches.
Handling precision: Spherical bearings eliminate the soft movement of factory bushings, improving suspension response and feedback from the rear axle.
Lightweight and heavy-duty construction: CNC-machined 7075-T651 aluminum provides high rigidity while keeping weight low.
Bolt-on installation: Designed as a direct 1:1 replacement for the factory component, with no additional chassis modifications required.
Improved power transfer: More stable rear suspension operation helps use the engine’s potential more effectively under load.
The Restomotive rear vertical link for the Ford Mustang GT Gen 6 replaces the factory suspension component with a stiffer and more precise construction, designed to provide better control of the rear axle. Instead of factory rubber bushings, it uses Uniball spherical bearings, and the entire component is made as a CNC-machined construction from 7075-T651 aluminum. As a result, the vertical link reduces unwanted deflection, improves suspension response under load, and helps maintain more predictable vehicle behavior during dynamic driving.
