Read moreAutomatic transmissions in the Mustang GT are characterized by very fast operation, which generates significant amounts of heat. During intensive driving, transmission oil temperature can rapidly exceed the safe range, resulting in delayed paddle shift response and the gearbox entering limp mode. We are designing the Restomotive cooling kit to permanently eliminate this phenomenon.
Active Temperature Reduction: Use of a dedicated radiator core with an increased heat dissipation surface, allowing for longer track sessions without the risk of overheating the transmission.; Component Protection: Maintaining stable ATF oil temperature protects delicate clutch plates and solenoid valves, significantly extending the lifespan of the gearbox.; Safe Flow: The design takes into account the specific operation of oil pumps in automatic transmissions, ensuring that the additional cooling does not cause pressure drops.; Vehicle Integration: The kit is being developed as a “Bolt-on” solution, fitting the front section of the Mustang S550 and ensuring an optimal supply of fresh air.
